Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught at school, while her mother was a domestic worker. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed show-like puppets in front of children in her area. At the age 6years old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether she was keen to work in showbusiness. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show The Wind It up and It breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1200 kids to be the oldest of the three twin daughters in The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed the fact that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on sets of the show in the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years old and the actor was 19 at that time. She told me that it could have been possible, but we didn't have the proper timing.
